On Friday 22 October, Baroness Meacher’s “Assisted Suicide Bill 2021” will come before the House of Lords for its Second Reading and a full debate. This Bill seeks to legalise assisted suicide in England and Wales. If successful, the Bill will permit a terminally ill adult who has less than 6 months to live, to be assisted in committing suicide.
