Service of the Word with Holy Communion
When Mass is not available there may be a Service of the Word and Holy Communion. The opening prayers and scripture readings take place, but there is no offering of the bread and wine and no consecration. Distribution of Holy Communion takes place using the reserved Sacrament. The service is usually preceded at 11:45 am
